The microsoft zune, like any new product in the market, comes with great features some of which are revolutionary.
The feature that has caught the most attention, is the wireless connectivity of the zune.This makes it possible for you to wirelessly transfer songs from your zune to a friend's so long as you maintain a range of not more than 70 feet.This is a feature never seen before in an mp3 player.
Another faeture that makes the zune stand out is that the LCD display is larger (3.0 inches) than those of its main rival the apple Ipod which has a maximum screen size of 2.5 inches.Hence video can be better viewed with the microsoft zune.
However, with all these revolutionary features of the microsoft zune, the big question is: what will be the impact of the zune on the sales of the Ipod this christmass?
It is obvious that Ipod sales will drop this christmass. This will not be solely because of the great functionalities of the zune, but also because of the marketing budget at the disposal of microsoft.
The Ipod will remain the champion of the mp3 player market place for some time to come, but the zune will be its biggest rival so far.
